Kelly Peaks Horner brings over 35 years of dedication in public education, starting as a teacher and administrator in Fairfax County Public Schools and later spending 16 years with Gallup’s Education Practice. Now a culture consultant and executive leadership coach—and a certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator trained by Dr. Brené Brown—Kelly has empowered over 300 school leaders to embrace daring, authentic leadership. As the co-founder of The Lucy Leadership Project and a best-selling author of Unwrapped: The Pursuit of Justice for Women Educators, she continues to build a community that champions thriving over merely surviving. Kelly calls Smith Mountain Lake home, where she lives with her husband, Steve, their rescue dachshund Rosie, and proudly raises two daughters who embody the leadership she inspires.
