The Case for Culture: Building a Business That Can Grow Without Losing You
Culture is not just for large companies with employees and handbooks. Every business has a culture v— even a business of one. It is the experience people have when they interact with the business and, just as importantly, the experience the owner has while running it. This practical conversation will help women examine whether the culture they are creating reflects what they intended. This session is relevant for solopreneurs as well as women working with employees, contractors, virtual assistants, vendors, clients, collaborators, or leading in organizations.
Attendees will learn how to:
- Identify how culture already shows up through client experiences, communication, boundaries, relationships, and daily business practices.
- Recognize possible gaps between what your organization intends and what others may experience.
- Consider whether your current way of operating can support the next stage of growth.
- Define one cultural nonnegotiable for the business.
- Identify one repeated practice that can change within the next 30 days.
Dr. Melinda C. Hill, PCC, is an executive leadership and organizational culture consultant, speaker, and coach specializing in the human side of leadership, change, and AI transformation.
