I have built a radio show, magazine, and two film festivals to help artists, authors, musicians, filmmakers, actors, directors and business owners.

What was the inspiration to start this business?

I felt the need to help the indie world receive more recognition, and to use my journalistic talents to make a deeper difference.

When you started your business, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

200 percent no.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles, or challenges? What were they and how did you get passed it and grow from the experience?

Constantly! biggest struggles for me was self-confidence, securing a balance between career and children; and big budget constraints. What fixed these is a combination of time, trial and error experiments in business, and numerous amounts of networking. Much of this made me stronger and more successful.

What was the biggest lesson you learned while starting and growing this business?

It takes a great deal of patience and persistence to start and then soar as a business owner.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feel like it's too difficult?

Never give up nor give in, regardless of what happens.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

I want to set a strong example for my children.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

Figure out what makes your tummy tickle, and then pursue that passion.
