Our brand is helping women using food as medicine to balance hormones and improve digestive issues. By supporting women's health and helping them achieve their peak performance in life, they are able to work and achieve their dreams feeling their best. They can serve their family and community in ways they might have struggled with before due to fatigue, pain, and discomfort.

What was the inspiration to start this business?

When I was a pre-med student, I saw the way that was being taught to view health. A pill for this ill. I was inspired to learn more about how we have more control over chronic disease than we think!

When you started your business, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

I did actually! I envisioned running a team and scaling my passions beyond myself.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles, or challenges? What were they and how did you get passed it and grow from the experience?

Yes! We were in a trademark legal dispute a couple of years ago and had to change our previous name to our current one, Nuvitru. It was challenging financially, emotionally, and mentally. But, we had to do everything we could to make sure that we said: "we tried everything". We obviously didn't get to keep our original name, but so much growth as a business owner happened - what to do in legal issues, building resilience, growing in confidence.

What was the biggest lesson you learned while starting and growing this business?

To do everything you can, and then let go and let God.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feel like it's too difficult?

Keep going. Show up on days that you don't feel like it. There will always be a new level of difficult, so don't give up! Remember that the days that feel difficult, you'll have days that you'll feel like you're on top of the world and that's what you work towards.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

The impact that my team has on women's health. Seeing chronic disease take hold angers me. I don't want people to feel like that and if I have anything in my power to change it, I will.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

Make sure your business is something you truly are passionate - live, eat, breathe it because you have to love what you do.
