This October, FemCity Ottawa/Barrhaven is welcoming back a familiar face to lead the chapter into its next chapter — literally.
Meet the President: Patricia "Trisha" Searl
Patricia "Trisha" Searl has been a FemCity member for nearly 15 years, and this fall she's stepping into the role of Chapter President for FemCity Ottawa/Barrhaven — a full-circle moment for someone who first joined the community at the start of her own entrepreneurial journey.
Searl is the founder of Clean POV Ottawa Inc., where she's spent more than a decade building a service-based business rooted in relationships and client care. Her work has since expanded into travel, wellness, and lifestyle services. Before entrepreneurship, she built a career with the federal government, including time at Health Canada — experience in leadership and relationship-building she brings into everything she does today.
"Returning to FemCity Ottawa/Barrhaven feels like coming full circle," Searl says. "As the Capital grows, so should women's supportive communities, where they can connect regularly with, learn from, and participate within. I'm a different person than I was seven or eight years ago, and I'm excited for this next chapter — and I want FemCity to be part of it."
What to Expect from FemCity Ottawa/Barrhaven
Searl's vision for the chapter is simple: a community where women genuinely know one another, support one another, refer business to one another, and grow together. As she puts it, "There is room at the table for all of us — and incredible things happen when women intentionally open doors for other women."
Why FemCity Ottawa/Barrhaven
FemCity Founder Violette de Ayala started FemCity over a decade ago as a small lunch group of 20 women in Miami. Today, it's a national community connecting women in business through networking, mentorship, and collaboration — and Ottawa/Barrhaven is picking up right where it left off.
