Canadian mama Maria Berglund, founded In Kind Boxes in 2019 after having her second and third sons in the United States, and realizing the lack of postpartum support mothers receive here. In Kind Boxes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides natural and organic essentials to moms in need, because she believes that every mom deserves quality postpartum care. Being raised by a single mom in need herself, Maria understands the value of community support. Now she gets to pay kindness forward through her charity work.

What was the biggest lesson you learned from 2021?

I am capable of more than I know.

How are you preparing for 2022?

I'm letting my mission to help others outweigh my fear of stepping out of my comfort zone. I'm staying open and enthusiastic about what this year has in store for me and In Kind Boxes.

What advice would you give other female founders that are looking to create big success in 2022?

Let yourself believe that you can do it. Don't hold yourself back.
