YOUR LEADERSHIP BOARD

Our intention for having a board is to assist our Presidents with activities that are beneficial to the group, grow the group, and also to give them an opportunity to shine.

Here is a link on how to create your board: https://youtu.be/u19VSsYfwTM

Board Members will need to fill out this application (below) , are expected to attend the majority of events and participate regularly. If attendance or participation are not possible the board member may be removed.

We suggest reviewing your board annually and changing as needed.

The following are a list of possible roles for your Leadership Board member.
Consider where you would like help, what your own strengths are, and areas that you may want to fill a gap when looking for members to fill the roles.

  1. SOCIAL MEDIA : Duties/activities may include - post welcomes for new members in your local private Facebook group, engagement of the group with a few posts each week (see our themed images), post event details for members to register. This member can be added as a moderator in the group so they can plan posts in advance.

  2. PR : sending out press releases to local publications, newspapers, bloggers etc.

  3. NETWORKER : introduce members and suggest partnerships and collaborations between members

  4. WORKSHOP FACILITATOR : May be in charge of planning, organizing, and facilitating supplemental events/workshops outside of the regular Femcity monthly themed event. These could be monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. These may include wellness event programming, social events such as coffee chats, net- walking, or book clubs, educational meetings with a FEM speaker.

  5. COMMUNITY OUTREACH : form partnerships with venues, local organizations and promote FemCity community

  6. CHARITY FACILITATOR : form partnerships with local nonprofits that help women

It is recommended to have a 1:1 meeting with your new board members to review their role and where you would most like assistance, as well as review that attending and participating is required. Making it clear what is expected is strongly recommended.
We recommend meeting lightly as a group once a month to review the previous month's events or activities, hear new ideas, and assign duties for the upcoming month. You can do this by video meeting or by creating a group chat with your Leadership Board.
