KANSAS CITY President:
CANDY TAI

Candy Tai is a community builder, connector, and entrepreneur with a passion for bringing women together through meaningful, values-driven experiences. She is the founder and operator of KCMetroMoms, a hyperlocal digital resource serving families across the Kansas City metro, where she curates local events, guides, partnerships, and content that connect women and parents to trusted information and community resources. She is also a longtime content creator and influencer, widely regarded as one of the early “mommy bloggers,” with a track record of building engaged audiences through authentic storytelling and relationship-based engagement.

Professionally, Candy serves as the Director of Marketing, Engagement, and Communications for a large global medical nonprofit. Her career has been rooted in the nonprofit sector, where she has led strategic communications, brand storytelling, and audience engagement initiatives in mission-driven environments. This experience has shaped her thoughtful, organized, and people-first approach to leadership, with a strong focus on sustainability, collaboration, and impact.

In addition to her professional and entrepreneurial work, Candy has held numerous leadership and volunteer roles, including serving as a Board Trustee for the Kansas Golf Association, holding leadership positions within her children’s school Parent Teacher Organization for over a decade, and previously serving as President of her church’s Mothers of Young Children group. Across each of these roles, she has focused on creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where women feel supported, capable, and empowered to participate and lead.

As a mom of five and a multi-passionate creator, Candy understands the realities women face as they balance careers, businesses, families, and personal growth. She is deeply committed to building safe, positive, and connected communities for women and is excited about the opportunity to bring FemCity’s mission to life in Kansas City through intentional leadership, authentic connection, and shared growth.
