Elle Akaras
Founder, Savvy Bee Strategies · Speaker · Community Builder
Elle Akaras is a speaker, teacher, community builder and mom who helps women remember the truth of who they are and our vital need for sisterhood. Her work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, somatic wisdom, spirituality and candid storytelling, the kind that makes you feel less alone and more yourself. She is also the founder of Savvy Bee Strategies, a boutique marketing firm that helps mission-driven women entrepreneurs build brands and go-to-market strategies that feel aligned and intentional.
A natural connector and lifelong advocate for women, Elle has decades of experience in business, leadership and entrepreneurship. She has facilitated workshops and community gatherings as a DEI coordinator, and led a year-long arts program that helped pre-teen and teen girls build empowerment and confidence. She believes that when women are resourced and supported, their families, businesses and communities all benefit.

What is FemCity DC?
FemCity DC is a women's networking group and business community launching this winter in Washington, DC, welcoming women from across the DMV, including nearby Maryland and Northern Virginia. Members will gather locally and join our online programming every Monday.
When does FemCity DC launch?
Our first in-person DC events begin this winter. Members who join now are part of our founding circle and can start enjoying our online programming, replay library and Member Directory right away.
Is FemCity DC virtual or in-person?
Both. Local Members attend our monthly DC events and join our virtual programming every Monday at 1 PM and 7 PM ET, including goal setting, virtual networking, masterclasses and group business coaching with Violette de Ayala.
Are local events open to non-members?
Our chapter events are designed for members. Start a free 30-day Local Membership trial to attend. After your trial, membership continues at $15.99/month USD, and you can cancel from your dashboard at least 72 hours before your trial ends.
Where will FemCity DC events take place?
Events will rotate around DC and the surrounding DMV at local cafes, coworking spaces, restaurants and women-owned businesses. Each event listing will show the location.
What if I'm just starting my business?
You're welcome here. FemCity is intentionally supportive of new and restarting entrepreneurs, as well as professionals, creatives and retirees. Come as you are.
