About FAMHAS FOUNDATION: The creation of Fabiola’s Addiction and Mental Health Awareness and Support Foundation comes from a place of love and hope, from those who have lived through the negative effects of addiction and mental health. Fabiola Philippe was a sister, a mother, a daughter, and a friend. One year after her passing, her sister, Marie Philippe Remy, and her daughter, Lydia Philippe, decided to come together to keep her memory alive by creating this Foundation to bring awareness and to generate knowledge about addiction and mental health, and at the same time, hoping to prevent others from living a similar outcome as their beloved, Fabiola.
Knowing all too well the pain, confusion, and lost that can come with addiction and mental health issues, they decided to launch FAMHAS on November 30, 2018, to commemorate the 36th birthday of Fabiola. This marked the beginning of the journey to create a community where anyone going through or living with mental health and addiction, can have a safe place to freely communicate, ask for help, and find the support they need.
