What was the inspiration to start this business?

My friend observed me planning a wedding for a friend. After the wedding she and many others began to tell me that I should do this for a living. That was 6 years ago and we are still going strong.

When you started your business, did you ever envision that you would be where you are now?

Not at all. Even in these times, we are still getting calls and helping couples.

Was there ever a time that things didn't fall into place, struggles, or challenges? What were they and how did you get past it and grow from the experience?

Absolutely! When we first started we struggled with the operational side of the business. We knew how to plan and coordinate weddings but what we didn't know was how to operate a business. So I chose to go to school to earn my BS in Business and I am currently earning my Masters in Business Administration the knowledge that I have learned from graduate school has added value to the business.

What was the biggest lesson you learned while starting and growing this business?

When your plan doesn't come to pass, it is most likely because God has a better one for you.

What would you tell a FEM that is struggling in her business and feel like it's too difficult?

Don't quit. Take a break if you need to, but don't quit.

What continues to inspire you to keep on growing your business?

Serving others continues to inspire me. It is what I delight in.

Final advice for those thinking of starting a business or looking to grow their current business?

Just do it. It will be worth it.
